I've been eating at The Boil for about 3 or 4 years. I've only ever had the boils and I Love Them. My husband always order the garlic noodles, he highly recommends. For the first time I decided to try something different, the gumbo. I know it says "Gumbo Soup" but I expected to have more than 1 shrimp and 2 sausage pieces. The broth to rice ratio was horrible. It was hardly any rice. The surprising thing was the taste. Neither my husband nor I could finish it. It was not good and I'm shocked because the other food is delicious. I've never eaten in the restaurant but it's nice and spacious. The service is always nice and fast. I'm giving 4 stars because my history with The Boil is good but for the gumbo, definitely 1 star.
First time checking out this location ,I called before I came in she was very patient,I let her know it was my first time when I got in there. Good food and, excellent customer service I will be back
Love this place! The quality of the seafood is on par with any of the other places (Angry Crab, Lowcountry, etc) but the little touches like a free popcorn appetizer and plastic gloves for deshelling make it so much more accessible for a casual weekday meal. Highly recommend peeling your shrimp over a bed of rice.
